GAW Press Conference

Dear all,

As we are winding up the 2012 Global Action Week, which was marked from 22-28th April 2012 in various countries around the globe including Tanzania, TEN/MET has arranged a press conference at the Tanzania Information Services (MAELEZO) on Samora Avenue on 2nd May 2012 to highlight the success of the events and to inform the public of the importance of Early Childhood Education to children’s growth and the national socio-economic interest.The press conference will take place from 11:00  AM to 11:30 AM.

GAW 2012 Climax events

TEN/MET’s Secretariat, kindly invite you to participate in the Climax events of the Global Action Week, which will take place on Saturday,28th April 2012 from 08:00 A.M to 01:00 PM at the Mnazi Mmoja Mashujaa Grounds.


The Climax events will be officiated by the Deputy Minister for Community Development, Gender, and Children, Ummy Alli Mwalimu. The theme for the Global Action Week 2012 is “Rights from the Start! Early Childhood Care and Education Now!”.


TEN/MET appreciates your partnership in articulating the development of Education in Tanzania especially in Early Childhood Care and Education.


The climax will be marked by a rally at Mnazi Mmoja Mashujaa Grounds and we will start marching from theOld Post Office at 8:00am to Mnazi Mmoja Mashujaa Grounds, passing through Azikiwe Street, Bibi Titi Mohamed, and Lumumba Street.
