New education facility opens in Ghana
19/10/2009
A new pre-school has opened in Ghana to provide modern educational services to local children.
The Ghanaian Chronicle reports that the new centre in Adjirigano-Otano has a number of special classrooms which make use of innovative teaching aids to help the experienced staff members provide high quality education.
Officials of the Ghana Education Service (GES) have praised the founder of the Learning Skills Centre, Sophia Duker, for her dedication to developing the facility and expanding the number of schools in the area.
Charles Parker-Allotey, public relations director at GES, added that Ms Duker should consider setting-up schools in the future that provide not only kindergarten level education but also give access for primary school pupils.
Meanwhile, the Chronicle also reports that two people are currently facing trial following the discovery that this year's November/December West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examination papers had been leaked to prospective students.
